About This Ghost

This is the part where I tell you about me.

I’m a 20-year old fresh college grad with too much time on my hands. And by too much time, I meant still unemployed. I am a Filipino who’d like to become a very accomplished writer and travel the world.

I lived a safe, sheltered life in nice, comfy house in a small city in Bicol, Philippines until I graduated with a Journalism degree and moved to the country’s capital, Manila to get that dream job.

Currently, I stay in a lower-middle to lower class neighborhood where houses are literally inches from each other; where rodents and roaches party in the kitchen day and night; where you don’t make eye contact with shady-looking men loitering up and down the street; where you take special care to minding your own business and you always have to check your pockets for your wallet and phone.

My Nokia was stolen last week, but that happened at a train station.

I’m tall and skinny. I love eating but I never gain an ounce. I am extremely lazy but I read a lot and listen extensively to pop, hip hop and RNB music until my ears shut down. I watch a lot of crime drama on TV. I also write short fiction. I do a lot of social networking and blogging to pass the time until opportunity knocks. So far, I screwed up two career prospects and waiting to hear if I screwed up a third.

I never had a girlfriend since I was born naked and screaming out of my Ma. And I’m still a virgin, more’s the pity. Sometimes I’m attracted to guys, which kind of creeps me out.

I’m a poster boy for passivity, sarcasm and biting jokes. But my kabarkadas actually say I’m a good friend. Sometimes I’m rude; sometimes I’m way too polite. Some days I’m naïve; some days I wake up street-smart beyond belief. I’m a bucket of contradictions.

Right now, I’m making that transition from teen to adult; from schoolboy to awesome professional guy. And I want to tell you all about it here, in the most fun and interesting way possible. :D
